Dr. Katherine Haldeman - Veterinarian

Katherine Haldeman

Dr. Katherine Haldeman understands how heartbreaking it can be to watch a beloved pet struggle with pain, mobility issues, or recovery after injury or surgery. Throughout her veterinary career, she has been dedicated to helping pets achieve a better quality of life, especially when traditional treatment options alone are not enough.

Early in her practice, Dr. Haldeman cared for many patients suffering from chronic conditions such as arthritis, neurologic disease, and intervertebral disc disease. When some pets did not respond adequately to conventional medications or could not tolerate them because of other health concerns, she sought advanced therapies that could provide relief and improve function. This passion led her to pursue specialized training in veterinary rehabilitation and integrative medicine.

In 2013, Dr. Haldeman became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. She has since continued to expand her expertise in rehabilitation, therapeutic laser therapy, geriatric medicine, and veterinary acupuncture. As a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, she incorporates acupuncture into individualized treatment plans to help reduce pain, enhance healing, improve mobility, and support overall wellness. Whether helping a senior pet stay active and comfortable, guiding a patient through post-surgical recovery, or managing a chronic orthopedic or neurologic condition, Dr. Haldeman believes every pet deserves a personalized approach.

She works closely with pet owners to develop comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient's unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. Originally from Lancaster, New Hampshire, Dr. Haldeman earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Science in 2000 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2004 from Auburn University. Her commitment to lifelong learning and compassionate care continues to help pets and their families enjoy more active, comfortable, and fulfilling lives.
