Pet Boarding at Animal Medical Clinic P.C.

Your pet’s comfort and well-being are our top priorities.

Our dedicated staff uses their knowledge of animal care to keep your pet healthy and happy during their stay.

We offer separate boarding facilities for cats and dogs so our feline friends can have a little peace and quiet during their stay.

About Our Pet Boarding Facilities

We take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable facility for your pet.

Our boarding area is temperature-controlled and spacious, and your pet receives frequent care and attention from our friendly, compassionate staff.

Should any medical problems arise during your pet’s stay, you can have peace of mind that our veterinarians will make sure they are treated appropriately.

We have added new day boarding for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotics (no birds or reptiles). Pocket pets and exotics do not require any required services to board, but they do need their own cage and food due to their sensitivity to stress and diet changes.

We have also added new extra amenities for day boarding and boarding pets: Waterful Fun time (dogs play in our doggy Hydrant sprinkler system), puzzle treats, and frozen treats.

Boarding Requirements

All boarding guests must be up-to-date on vaccinations. If your pet requires any vaccinations before staying with us, we are happy to provide them for an additional fee.

Reservations are preferred, especially during holidays, but we can generally accommodate last-minute or emergency boarding needs.  To ensure availability, please schedule your pet's stay ahead of time.

Our boarding facility is open for drop-off and pick-up whenever the office is open.

Why Board Your Pet at a Veterinary Practice?

  • Medications are administered by trained veterinary staff.
  • If there is an emergency or your pet needs immediate medical care, our veterinarians and medical team are onsite for a quick response.
  • If your pet requires updated vaccinations before boarding, we can take care of those before your pet's scheduled boarding date. If possible, please allow two weeks between vaccination and boarding.
  • We offer veterinary exams or other medical services needed during your pet’s stay.

We welcome your questions about our boarding facilities and policies and are eager to discuss how we can make your pet’s stay as positive as possible.

Boarding Routine

Dogs

During your Dogs stay they are fed either their normal diet from home, or our specialized EN diet, given belly rubs daily, extra treats if that's ok, clean kennels, out door play time with our staff, and let out multiple times daily, more often when good weather is permitted for bathroom breaks

Cats

During your Cat's stay they are fed either their normal diet from home, or our specialized EN diet, given scratches daily if they like it, extra treats if that's ok, clean cages, play time with our staff in our Cat Ward that has many Cat tress, a window with a bird feeder, lots of toys and a Fish to watch

On weekends staff are on site in the morning and evening to care for the pets. The staff are in contact with the on call doctor at each shift

Feeding

AMC feeds Purina EN (gastrointestinal protective diet) to our canine visitors and Purina Salmon and Rice to our feline visitors. You are welcome to bring your pet's normal diet especially if your pet is on a prescription diet for a medical condition. Feeding your pets normal diet during their stay can also help minimize some cases of gastroenteritis that is caused by an abrupt change in diet. Due to the risk of salmonellosis and other infections that con affect pets and people we do not allow raw diets.

Bedding and Belongings

AMC will provide bedding and feeding bowls. Please be aware that in a boarding situation your pet may have behaviors they normally do not exhibit at home. Some of these behaviors can include: chew up/eat or destroy beds and toys you bring from home. These behaviors can lead to your pet becoming ill or needing emergency intestinal surgery. Please be sure to tell us if your pet has a history of these behaviors at home. AMC will make every attempt to send your items home cleaned and in good condition but we can not guarantee the condition of belongings at the end of a boarding stay.

Medications

At AMC our trained staff will administer your pet's medication as directed. Please bring all medication in their original bottles. If your pet runs out of its medication during their stay we can refill the prescription with a doctors approval. Please let the receptionist know if you will be needing refills at the time of check in. To help expedite the check in process you can download and complete the Boarding Medication Form and bring it with you when you check your pet into boarding.
