Lauren S. Grider, DVM
Dr. Lauren S. Grider has special interests in dermatology, oncology, dentistry and feline medicine. Dr. Grider graduated from Auburn University
College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Association of Feline Practitioners Award for Accomplishments in Feline
Medicine and Surgery, the World Animal Care Foundation Award for Understanding and Appreciation of the Human-Animal Relationship, and the
Shelter Medicine Award for Sustained Interest in Advancing Shelter Medicine. Dr. Grider also received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Auburn University College of Agriculture in 2004. She was active in the Pre-Veterinary Medical Association and served as the President in 2004. She was also inducted into Alpha Zeta, an agricultural honor society, and Beta Beta Beta, a biological sciences honor society. During her time at Auburn, Dr. Grider became a huge Auburn football fan.
Dr. Grider is originally from the Chattahoochee River Valley. She moved to Madison County following graduation from veterinary school in 2008 and has been practicing in the area ever since. She shares her free time with her three cats: a black and white tuxedo named Jaquelyn "Small Fry," a blue and white bi-color named George, and a brown classic tabby named Bea "Bad Kitten" Arthur. Dr. Grider enjoys gardening, reading, crafting and dancing. She is a Zumba Instructor and teaches classes at the Hogan Family YMCA in Madison. Dr. Grider is also an athlete at Crossfit Impulse.
